Meet our board of directors

  • Ash Casselman (she/her) is the Board Chair of Beyond Booking, and the CEO of Femistry, the maker of a clinically-proven non-hormonal aid for peri/menopause. Previously, she held Product and Strategy roles at Juul Labs, Cisco Meraki, Metabiota and the World Economic Forum. She also founded Meter20, a product design consulting firm.

  • Camille Altay (they/them) is an artist, musician, and builder who lives and works in Climax, New York. They enjoy thinking about futurity and queerness relative to music and architecture, and the shapes of space that present conditions of possibility for liberation. Camille has a recent release on The Bunker’s long-form sub label Going In, is a founding member of of the group Birds of Prey, and collaborates with LA artist Israel Vines under the moniker CAIV, with the most recent release Dwellers EP out on Tresor Records.

  • Sung Kim (he/him) is the Board Treasurer and one of the founders of Triad Media Solutions, a digital agency specializing in advertising solutions for the higher education industry. A veteran of online advertising, he's been leading the marketing operations at his company for over 15 years, almost as long as he's been a supporter of The Bunker and Beyond Booking.

  • Benny Soto (he/him) is legendary in house music circles, and has played an integral role in the underground dance music scene in NYC for years. Former assistant to iconic New York pop culture artist Keith Haring, Benny has seen it all. From the days of the Paradise Garage to the recent Brooklyn nightlife boom, he is a wealth of knowledge and dedicates himself to what he loves, the music. Benny hosts a monthly party with partner DJ Danny Krivit called 718 Sessions, with a cult following that is devoted to the classic house music sound. His other event, Dance.Here.Now., has showcased some of the biggest names in dance music.

  • Bryan Kasenic (he/him) is Beyond Booking’s Executive Director. He serves as head curator of The Bunker New York, whose events and record labels have nurtured and amplified American experimental electronic music and techno for over 20 years. He has brought together hundreds of artists from all over the world to share work at the forefront of electronic music, contributing to the rewarding careers of dozens of artists. Bryan also uses his experience in the music industry along with his skills as a men’s work facilitator and somatic coach to lead Beyond Booking’s mentorship and education program.

  • Christina Wheeler (she/her) is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumental electronic musician, and multimedia artist whose creative explorations include forays in a myriad of styles and forms. A Los Angeles native, Wheeler is a graduate of Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges and Manhattan School of Music. She has collaborated with everyone from Larraji to David Byrne, and performed everywhere from the Berlin Philharmonie to Berghain.

  • Jon Santos (he/him) is the principal of Common Space Studio, a NYC based design studio, and Ontopo, a contemporary art platform that incubates performative and site specific artworks between Hawaii and New York City. He is currently an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and was a former visiting artist at Saint-Lukas Academy in Brussels, the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, OXBOW / SAIC in Chicago, California College of Arts in San Francisco, and was a guest lecturer at the American Institute of Graphic Arts in Washington D.C. Santos was nominated for a James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Restaurant Graphics and was a recipient of an AIGA Gold Medal.

  • Jules Mallis (they/them) is an intermedia artist, DJ and community leader based in Pittsburgh. They are the Executive Director at Repair The World Pittsburgh, a Jewish social justice organization connecting communities in meaningful service-learning programs. Over the past 15 years in Pittsburgh, Mallis has been organizing creative endeavors and community programs. They perform live as a VJ and DJ and use digital media, paint, installation, performance, sound and audience interaction to create unique creative and enriching experiences. Their artistic production focuses on building community, audio-visual experiences and speaking truth.

  • Kourtney Woodward (she/her), aka Rose Kourts, is a Brooklyn-based DJ, radio host, and organizer. She has quickly established herself as one of the brightest of NY's next generation. She has a monthly Lot Radio show, is a co-founder and resident of DIY renegade party Sweet Kicks, and is the head of club night NOW.

  • Mary Mahoney (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker, hypnotherapist, and reiki master with a private practice in New York City. She is the founder of The Doula Project non-profit organization, the first abortion doula service in the country, and author of The Doulas: Radical Care for Pregnant People (Feminist Press), a reproductive justice memoir that chronicles her work as a full spectrum doula. Mary is a professional feminist speaker and has spoken across the nation about her pioneering work in reproductive healthcare.

  • Michelle Erfer (she/her) is the Program Director of the Artist Representation program at Beyond Booking. She is a cultural producer, music curator, and veteran booking agent with 20 years of international artist management experience (as well as being an author and non-profit administrator) who works at the intersections of music, future technology, art, holographics and computers, giving her the unique fluency to speak to both the creative and professional demands of our roster of artists.

  • Mike Sagun (he/him) is a certified professional somatic and trauma coach, teacher, facilitator, and co-founder of MELD (Men's Emotional Leadership Development). He earned his BA in Education and spent the first part of his career working with underserved communities of young people in Northern California. He now helps men strengthen their emotional resilience, heal trauma, and regain vitality. Mike has partnered with companies like Men's Health, DropBox, Saje Wellness, LinkedIn, and Google X delivering bespoke retreats and programs. When Mike isn't coaching, teaching, or facilitating retreats you might find him in his garden or cooking with his husband and pitbull rescue.

  • Nadia Rodríguez (she/her they/them) brings nearly seven years of dedicated service to her role as an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) Program Manager at the National Audubon Society. With a deep-rooted commitment to social justice and advocacy, Nadia's professional journey is complemented by her background as a translator and investigative journalist for the New York Times. As a proud descendant of the Latine diaspora, Nadia draws strength and inspiration from her rich heritage, infusing her work with a profound connection to her roots. Beyond her professional endeavors, Nadia also co-founded Luna Ruda, an online retail venture dedicated to sourcing ethically crafted products from South American artisans, championing sustainable business practices, and uplifting underrepresented communities.

  • Nancy Kim (they/she) is a Korean-American interdisciplinary artist, designer, architect, musician, and hospitality creative based in NY. Currently, they are Executive Director of Design & Creative at Pocketbook Hudson. Previously, they were Design Director at Ace Hotel Group. They hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They are certified in Integrative Hypnotherapy and Healthier Materials and Sustainable Building.

  • Odell Nails (he/him) is a Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Universal Music Group, where he provides legal and strategic counsel to the President of Def Jam Recordings and the Chairman of Republic Records. Prior to joining UMG, Odell began his career as in-house counsel at Atlantic Records, and later served as Deputy General Counsel for WNET public media. Odell’s passion for music and entertainment originated with his time as a drummer in various independent bands.

  • Scotia Birdsey (she/her) is a Hudson Valley based DJ and producer who performs regularly across the Northeast and has released music for a variety of independent record labels. As an independent web developer, her clients have included Mitsubishi Electric and The Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response.

  • Theresa Mershon (she/her) is a Senior Director of Product Design at LinkedIn. Her career spans over 20 years in technology, media, design and the arts, having previously held senior leadership roles at Twitter and Hearst Magazines. She has a long history supporting organizations and causes that focus on arts & culture, social equity, disability, mental health and harm reduction.
